The Mississippi Department of Education Office of Curriculum and Instruction, Division of Literacy, is seeking highly qualified applicants for fourth through eighth grade Adolescent Literacy Coach contractual positions. The deadline for receipt of applications is on or before Monday, June 1.
The Division of Literacy is responsible for supporting and training fourth through eighth grade grade teachers, curriculum specialists, and other educators by providing evidence-based instructional strategies for literacy. Passed during the 2026 legislative session, the Adolescent Literacy Initiative (SB 2294) places an emphasis on grade-level reading skills, particularly as students encounter increasingly complex text in fourth through eighth grades.
