It has been 30 years since the classic show Wishbone aired on PBS stations across the country. Now, Wishbone’s story is finally being told in the new documentary “What’s the Story, Wishbone?”

The beloved Jack Russell Terrier, known for daydreaming his way into classic works of literature, returns to Mississippi Public Broadcasting on Thursday, June 4, at 7 p.m.

From 1995 to 1997, Wishbone introduced a generation of children to literary classics ranging from Sherlock Holmes to The Odyssey. This documentary revisits the creative team behind the series and explores how an ambitious idea became a lasting cultural touchstone.
