The Mississippi Department of Education Office of Curriculum and Instruction, in partnership with the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB), will host teacher trainings for the SREB Ready and Essentials for College courses in July. These trainings will be provided at no cost to public school teachers in Mississippi. CEUs will be available.
Principals should recommend staff members in need of training by completing the survey at the following link by July 10: SREB Summer 2026 Trainings – Interest Survey – Fill out form. In order to allow all districts and schools an opportunity to participate, principals should limit their requests to one Math and one Literacy participant. For principals that have already submitted names, please do not resubmit unless there has been a change in participants.
Please be advised that all educators participating in the summer SREB training sessions must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Currently possess a Mississippi Educator License with an active endorsement listed below (license number will be requested upon registration)
- 119 for Literacy participants
- 154 for Math participants
- Scheduled to teach an SREB course in school year 2026-2027
