Help students learn how they can keep Mississippi clean with free, printable activity sheets from the Mississippi Litter Prevention Task Force. The resources offer teachers a simple, engaging way to introduce litter prevention and remind students that we are One Mississippi and keeping our state clean is a responsibility we all share.
Activities include a maze, word search, connect-the-dots sheet, a “Clean It or Trash It” exercise and an opportunity for students to design their own “Binny” litter receptacle. Teachers may also share the task force’s new One Mississippi public service announcement as a classroom discussion starter. The task force is a collaborative statewide initiative through Mississippi’s Office of the First Lady. Members include representatives from state agencies responsible for protecting Mississippi’s natural resources, including the Mississippi departments of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks; Marine Resources; and Environmental Quality. Together, the task force and its partners are working toward one goal: a litter-free Mississippi.
