Educators asked to share Mississippi Family Needs Assessment

The Center for Excellence in Literacy Instruction (CELI) at the University of Mississippi is working to establish the Mississippi Family Engagement Network, an initiative focused on creating a system of support for families across Mississippi to help them become their child’s best learning partner and advocate.

To support this work, CELI wants to hear directly from families about their experiences, needs, and priorities. The Mississippi Family Needs Assessment has been developed to gather valuable feedback that will help inform the development of the network and ensure that it reflects the voices of families across our state.

As school leaders and educators, CELI is asking for your help in sharing the Mississippi Family Needs Assessment Survey with parents, caregivers, and family members in your communities. The survey can be completed digitally in under 15 minutes, and CELI  is encouraging parents, caregivers, and family members of children and youth across Mississippi to participate.

The survey will close on Oct. 31, so sharing it with families sooner rather than later will be crucial in helping us gather as much feedback as possible. Please share the  CFCP2 Needs Assessment Flyer (1) to your networks, families, and community partners.

Educators and parents are encouraged to take the time to complete the survey as well. Your participation can help reach a broader range of families and ensure that CELI is hearing from individuals representing different backgrounds, experiences, and communities across the state.
