Applications are open for Mississippi Governor’s School set for June 6-19, 2027. Current high school sophomores and juniors can apply by the deadline of Nov. 1.
Mississippi Governor’s School (MGS) is a two-week residential honors experience for some of Mississippi’s brightest and most motivated students. Scholars from across the state live on the campus of Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, take challenging courses, explore new interests, build leadership skills, serve their communities, and experience college life alongside other high-achieving students.
Tuition, housing, meals, activities, and three hours of honors college credit are all provided at no cost to the student.
Students who are current high school sophomores or juniors during the 2026–2027 school year are eligible to apply. They will attend MGS as rising juniors and seniors during the summer program.
