The University of Southern Mississippi School of Education is teaming up with the Southern Miss Alumni Association to host its second annual Teacher Appreciation Day on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, for the game against UConn.
Educators are encouraged to come and be honored in various ways throughout game day. The School of Education will have a special gift for Southern Miss graduates of teacher education programs, and USM teacher alumni who register in advance will be able to walk on the field for recognition during the game.
