Do you have an outstanding senior in your high school that deserves national recognition for their ACT/SAT performance, contributions to the community, CTE or Fine Arts participation, and/or extracurricular involvement? If you answered “YES” to this question, please share the following information with them:
The United States Presidential Scholars Program (USPSP) was established in 1964, by Executive Order of the President, to recognize and honor some of our Nation’s most distinguished graduating high school seniors. National level USPSP winners will be awarded the Presidential Honors Medallion and honored for their accomplishments during the National Recognition Program in 2021 in Washington, D.C. (pending COVID-19 guidance).
Again, this year, Dr. Carey Wright, State Superintendent of Education, will nominate up to 20 current high school students (10 males and 10 females) for the general component of the program and up to 5 current high school students for the CTE component. To be considered for Dr. Wright’s Nomination List, please see the attached information. All completed application materials must be received by Tuesday, November 2, 2021. There is no restriction on the number of student applications from a high school.
