Join the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) Office of Compulsory School Attendance Enforcement and Dropout Prevention for a training update at 9 a.m. April 27, on educational services for students in juvenile detention centers. The training is for educators and staff involved in providing educational services in juvenile detention centers.
Training will include:
- MDE review of Mississippi Code Ann. § 43-21-321.
- Insight from JDC educational staff concerning Child Find, IAP, and Transition Plans
- Interactive discussions on best practices to ensure students receive appropriate, effective, and continuous educational support in juvenile detention centers.
