The Mississippi Department of Education Office of Curriculum and Instruction, in partnership with the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB), will host teacher trainings for the SREB Ready and Essentials for College courses this summer. To gauge need, principals should complete the survey at the following link by April 30: SREB Summer 2026 Trainings – Interest Survey – Fill out form
Two three-day sessions will be offered June 23-25 and July 7-9. Teachers only need to sign up for one session. Registration links for each session will be available in early June and forwarded to teachers.
These trainings are required for teachers who will be teaching an SREB Ready or an Essentials for College course in ELA/Literacy or Math for the first time during the 2026-2027 school year. These trainings (virtual or in-person TBD based on interest) will be provided at no cost to public school teachers in Mississippi. Teachers must currently have a 119 endorsement to participate in the ELA/Literacy session or a 154 endorsement for Math. CEUs will be available.
