The Mississippi Department of Education, through the Office of Special Education, is pleased to offer the Setting the Tone! Authentic Relationships between Educators and Students with an EMD Disability chat for the month of October. This Special Education behavior chat session is scheduled for October 12, 2021, from 3:30p- 4:30p, and will focus on collaborating with peers and sharing techniques that lead to positive relationships between educators and students with disabilities.
Participants are encouraged to be prepared to listen to a phenomenal guest speaker as well as share resources and proven classroom management and instructional strategies. Collaborating and sharing resources and strategies are essential to building a strong and sustainable classroom setting for ALL students.
The session will be facilitated by Dr. Sarieta Pollard, Special Education-Behavior Professional Development Coordinator. Featured guest will be Mr. Anthony Stallings, an educator with over 20+ years in the field of Special Education. Additional guests will be teachers across the state, new and novice, that will share their best and brightest ideas. Let’s get ready to Set the Tone!
