Scholarships available to teachers for 2023 AP Summer Institutes; Apply by Feb. 14

The College Board is offering several competitive scholarships to teachers for the 2023 AP Summer Institutes.  The application deadline for all scholarships is Feb. 14, 2023.

AP® Summer Institutes (APSIs) offer weeklong intensive professional development programs where educators can network with peers and learn about tools and resources that inspire success in their Advanced Placement® classrooms.

Each year, College Board offers several competitive scholarship programs to teachers to defray the cost of this valuable professional development experience. For 2023, three different scholarship programs are offered . Teachers at your school meet the criteria for at least one of the following opportunities. Visit the APSI Scholarships homepage to learn more about each and access links to apply.

  • AP Fellows: Provides scholarships of up to $1,000 to AP teachers at schools serving underrepresented and/or low-income students.
  • AP Rural Fellows: Provides scholarships of up to $1,500 to AP teachers at rural schools serving low-income students. (Note: All islands of Hawaii, except Oahu, will be considered “rural,” regardless of the NCES data status.)
  • AP Capstone™: Provides fee waivers covering tuition for AP Capstone professional development to AP Seminar and AP Research teachers at schools meeting specific criteria.

If you would like your teachers to attend an APSI and have no other source of funding, please share this information, and encourage them to apply today.
