For administrators: Need SEMIs? Register by Aug. 24 for Mississippi Hearing-Vision project free online modules

Administrators should register by Aug. 24, for a free online cohort using the Open Hands Open Access (OHOA) deaf-blind modules in intervention for individuals having both hearing and vision impairments (deaf-blindness) for educators, paraprofessionals, related service providers and administrators.

Instructional methods used in the modules are readings, discussion boards, assignments based on a student or sample student, teaming, video reviews, reflections upon experiences, etc.

Benefits to your work include:

  • Apply learning to a student or sample student
  • Acquire knowledge of related evidence-based strategies and practices
  • Document & realize Child/Student progress
  • Obtain regular feedback on your assignments
  • Gain additional expertise through the Collaborative Learning Benefit from shared ideas, resources, and extended support

Complete each Module in about 7 hours on your own time during the scheduled time period. Earn 15 SEMI credits or 1 OSL credit by completing the 21 hours of module engagement.
