Regional Adolescent Literacy Coordinator EIR positions available; Apply by 2 p.m. May 19

The Mississippi Department of Education, Office of Curriculum and Instruction, Division of Literacy is seeking highly qualified applicants for fourth through 8th grade Regional Adolescent Literacy Coordinators Educator in Residence (EIR) positions.

The Division of Literacy is responsible for supporting and training fourth through 8th grade teachers, curriculum specialists, and other educators by providing evidence-based instructional strategies for literacy. Passed during the 2026 legislative session, the Adolescent Literacy Initiative (SB 2294) places an emphasis on grade-level reading skills, particularly as students encounter increasingly complex text in fourth through eighth grades. The deadline for receipt of applications is on or before Tuesday, May 19, at 2 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST).
