Mississippi Science Matters professional development available July 11-15

The Mississippi Department of Education’s Office of Secondary Education in partnership with the WestEd Making Sense of Science team is offering the Mississippi Science Matters professional development for Mississippi K-12 science shareholders July 11-15 in Jackson, Mississippi.

This transformative instructional training program will allow shareholders to experience what scientists and engineers do by engaging with the Science and Engineering Practices, learn how to make sense of core science and engineering concepts and ideas through the lenses of the Crosscutting Concepts, and facilitate pathways for students to increase their science literacy while exploring and developing a sense of relevant phenomena.
