The Mississippi Council on Economic Education invites your middle and high school students and their families to participate in the first ever Empowered and Danny Dollar programs specifically for students with intellectual or developmental disabilities! Your students will learn important personal finance and life skills to help them to become independent citizens post high school.
Empowered topics will include life skills such as etiquette when making introductions, learning how to work with others, and even what it takes to start your own company!
Danny Dollar will help students improve their reading skills while learning about personal finance and entrepreneurship.
Through the generous support of the Mississippi Council on Developmental Disabilities, both programs are offered at no cost to your students and families. Students who complete the programs will even be given a $25 gift card! They may register for one of the programs at this time. Please see details and registration information on the attached flyers.
We are asking teachers to please pass along the attached information to their students’ parents. The registration deadline is October 1! Please write Kristi James at jamesk@millsaps.edu for more information.
