Middle, high school teachers encouraged to join Economics Challenge

The Mississippi Council on Economic Education (MCEE) hosts the Mississippi National Economics Challenge each year for high school students. The challenge applies the excitement of an athletic competition to academic excellence and encourages students to apply their economics knowledge and work in teams.

For the 2022-23 school year, Mississippi ranked No. 2 in the nation for the number of students who participated in the Online Economics Challenge.

Mississippi teachers have the opportunity to hold a preliminary first round of the challenge online. All middle school and high school teachers and students throughout the state are able to participate regardless of travel or budgetary constraints. There are no registration fees and no team limits so this makes a great class activity. The more participants the better our chances are of maintaining that top spot.
