MDEQ’s Mobile Classroom offers free water-quality programs for K–5 students

The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality’s Mobile Classroom brings interactive water-quality programs to schools at no cost.

Presented by Bayou Town Productions, the 25-40-minute programs are “The River Town Story” for grades K–2 and “All the Water in the World” for grades 3–5. Students learn how pollution reaches local streams and what they can do to protect Mississippi’s water for future generations.

Teachers who attend receive a free companion curriculum with lesson plans, labs and quizzes. Programs need an audience of at least 100 students. To schedule one, contact Cherie Schadler at (228) 346-8351 or csbayoutown@gmail.com. See this flyer for details.
