MDE partners with Mississippi Arts for All to hold professional development workshop Sept. 28

The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) is partnering with Mississippi Arts for All to offer a free professional development workshop Sept. 28, for teachers who work with students in grades 6-8. See below for more details.

Session: Classroom Content Collaboration – How to bring your content to life.

Cost: $15

Description: This professional development workshop will explore connections in the integrated disciplines of English Language Arts, Science, Technology, Engineering, Visual Arts, Mathematics and Social Studies while using Universal Design For Learning strategies and skills found in the Mississippi College-and Career-Readiness Standards. Participants who teach in grades 6-8, will engage in hands-on lessons that support critical and creative thinking, and problem-solving.
