Conference on understanding elections set for April 17-18 in Oxford

The Barbour Center for the Study of American Politics is hosting a two-day conference on elections April 17-18 in Oxford, Mississippi.  This conference is focused on the upcoming federal elections. CEUs available.

Participants will meet with experts and practitioners in the area of campaigns and elections.  The focus will be on the mechanics and strategies utilized in organizing, funding, and leading a campaign.

The goal is to send participants back to their classes with a wealth of new information and examples that can be utilized to animate discussions of politics and government for students.  A creative classroom exercise will be demonstrated with the attendees for potential application in class.
