Ballet Mississippi invites students to attend a special performance of the holiday classic “The Nutcracker” to be performed at Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson. The Nutcracker is a wonderful enriching production that is the perfect way to introduce young people to performance art, ballet, and live theater productions. lt is also a beautiful introduction to the holiday season and an enjoyable field trip for students.
These performances will be reserved for school students and their teachers. These special performances will be held at Thalia Mara Hall on Thursday, Dec. 3 and Friday, Dec. 4 at 10 a.m. each day. The production runs approximately 2 hours. Students from schools may attend “The Nutcracker” for a cost of $10 per ticket. Tickets and seating will be reserved in advance, and availability will fill in order of reservations received.
We want to make educators aware of this upcoming opportunity for their students in advance so that they along with staff can place this on the school’s schedule as a field trip opportunity as well as reserve space for the performance. lf you would like to schedule your school for this year’s performances, please contact Holly Hughes at Ballet Mississippi, 601-960-1560 (info@balletms.com).
Please estimate the number of students you anticipate attending. Seating is limited to the capacity of Thalia Mara Hall, and the dance company will fill the theater on a first come, first served reservation basis.
