Assistant State Adolescent Literacy Director EIR positions available; Apply by April 28 at 2 p.m.

The Mississippi Department of Education Office of Curriculum and Instruction, Division of Literacy, is seeking highly qualified applicants for fourth through eighth grade Assistant State Adolescent Literacy Director Educator in Residence (EIR) positions.

The Division of Literacy is responsible for supporting and training fourth through eighth grade teachers, curriculum specialists, and other educators by providing evidence-based instructional strategies for literacy. Passed during the 2026 legislative session, SB 2294 places an emphasis on grade-level reading skills, particularly as students encounter increasingly complex text in fourth through eighth grades. The deadline for receipt of applications is on or before Tuesday, April 26, at 2 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST).
