The Mississippi Department of Education Office of Curriculum and Instruction, Division of Literacy is seeking highly qualified applicants for 4th – 8th grade Adolescent Literacy Coach Educator in Residence (EIR) positions. The deadline for receipt of applications is on or before Tuesday, May 12, at 2 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST).
The Division of Literacy is responsible for supporting and training 4th – 8th grade teachers, curriculum specialists, and other educators by providing evidence-based instructional strategies for literacy. Passed during the 2026 legislative session, the Adolescent Literacy Initiative (SB 2294) places an emphasis on grade-level reading skills, particularly as students encounter increasingly complex text in fourth through eighth grades.
