The Office of Student Assessment (OSA) has been working diligently with the Mississippi assessment vendors to determine if the MDE would be allowed to extend the testing windows for the fall and spring administration of the statewide assessments. The following extensions have been recommended by the MDE and approved by the assessment vendors:
- The fall assessment window for the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment (KRA) will open on August 3, 2020, one week earlier than originally scheduled and extend an additional two weeks through October 2, 2020;
- The fall assessment window for the Mississippi Academic Assessment Program (MAAP) End-of Course (EOC) will open on November 9, 2020, one week earlier than originally scheduled and extend through January 15, 2021, adding an additional three weeks of testing (excluding the week of Thanksgiving, and two weeks during Christmas);
- The spring assessment window for the KRA will open on March 8, 2021, two weeks earlier than originally scheduled and extend one additional week through April 30, 2021;
- The spring assessment window for the Mississippi Academic Assessment Program – Alternate (MAAP-A) will open on March 1, 2021, two weeks earlier than originally scheduled, but will close as scheduled on May 7, 2021; and
- The spring assessment window for MAAP will open on March 29, 2021, two weeks earlier than originally scheduled, but will close as scheduled on May 14, 2021.
