The 2022 Mississippi Book Festival KidNote virtual presentation will be available statewide by Zoom for K-3 and 9-12 classes on Friday, Aug. 19.
Matt de la Pena will speak to elementary students about his book Milo Imagines the World about the family, possibility, and the power of perspective. The Zoom webinar will start at 9:30 a.m.
Andrew Aydin and Nate Powell will discuss their work with the late Congressman John Lewis. High school students will learn about Mississippi Freedom Summer in Run. The Zoom webinar will start at 11:30 a.m.
As an added gift to support literacy, copies of books will be donated to libraries of participating schools.
