The Mississippi Department of Education’s (MDE) Office of Secondary Education, in partnership with the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB), will host teacher trainings for the grade 12 SREB Essentials for College courses this summer. These trainings are required for those teachers who will be teaching an SREB Essentials for College course in ELA/Literacy or Math during the 2022-2023 school year – that have NOT attended the training in previous years. These virtual trainings will be provided at no-cost to public school teachers in Mississippi.
To allow for various scheduling constraints, we are offering three sessions to choose from. Each subject-area session will accommodate 60 participants total. The dates for the sessions are:
Session I- July 11-13;
Session II- July 14, 15, 25;
Session III-July 26-28.
