The Youth Justice Initiative (YJI) Empowering Youth Voices project seeks to provide youth and young adults with a platform to share their perspectives regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and current racial justice movement in the United States through writing or visual art. Participants may choose to respond to one of three prompts (more information in attached documents). The YJI will feature selected submissions in a special issue of its newsletter On the Same Page!, and three submissions will be selected as contest winners.

Please share this opportunity with the young people you work with and encourage them to participate if they are interested. The YJI deeply values youth voices, and we are excited to uplift young perspectives on these urgent topics.

For more information on the Empowering Youth Voices project, please see the attached documents in this email or visit our website www.albany.edu/yji. Also, please feel welcome to share the contents of this email with others who may be interested!
