The Mississippi Arts Commission’s Whole Schools Summer Institute is a multi-day professional development conference for educators interested in learning how to integrate the arts into all subjects. Research has shown that arts integration leads to enhanced learning and improved educational outcomes for students. The Institute’s sessions support all experience levels and arts disciplines. This training for classroom teachers supports the development and implementation of art-integrated lessons, with information for all academic content areas. The conference features leaders in the field of arts integration to focus on the theory of learning as well as the literal application of the skills and strategies.
