Trends and Issues in Mathematics Teaching – Courses 1,2, & 3

The Center for Mathematics and Science Education (CMSE) at The University of Mississippi is hosting online courses that will provide mathematics teachers the opportunity to earn CEUs while participating in timely, relevant learning from mathematics teacher leaders from across the country.  Each course is similar in format however, the content is unique. The courses are organized into four sessions:

Session 1: General Session
The content for session 1 focuses on mathematics teaching practices and meeting the needs of teachers across all grade levels.

Session 2: Grade Band Session
Learn about and explore new content, strategies, and resources related to the grade level content that you teach. Content is organized by elementary, middle, and high school topics. Choose from a variety of options in your grade band to meet your individual interests and needs.

Session 3: Special Topics Session

This session allows participants to select a topic of interest related to mathematics education policy, research, or practice.

 Session 4: Discussion Session

Join other participants to discuss your learning and make plans for implementation.

CEUs: Up to 1.5 CEUs (Per Course)

Participants who complete all four sessions will earn 0.9 CEUs with bonus content that can be completed for up to 0.6 additional CEUs.
