The 2026 Leveling Up MS Conference is set with three dates and locations in February:
- Feb. 4 at the Lake Terrace Convention Center in Hattiesburg
- Feb. 13 at The Westin in Jackson
- Feb. 24 at the Oxford Conference Center in Oxford
This statewide professional development event brings together Mississippi educators, counselors, and school leaders to share best practices and innovative strategies for supporting student success and readiness for college and careers. The conference will feature practical sessions on cutting-edge topics and tools to help educators level up instructional and counseling practices.
The Mississippi Department of Education and GEAR UP will partner to create opportunities for informal conversations with representatives from Get2College, MAIN, and Mississippi community colleges to better prepare students for postsecondary options by implementing a teamwork approach to ensure that college and career readiness and workforce development is priority; to explore how AI can be utilized in educational settings to support and enhance college and career readiness programs; and to focus on the alignment of educational outcomes with career readiness, ensuring that students are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge for their future endeavors.
These training sessions are best suited for middle and high school administrators, middle and high school counselors, career and technical center directors, technical center counselors, career coaches, CCR teachers, other middle and high school teachers as designated by administrators.
