Learn to bring the outdoors into your classroom this summer! Teachers Conservation Workshops, or “TCWs”, are hands-on workshops with an emphasis on forests and other natural resources.
Participants learn by demonstration and practical exercises how natural resources education can be integrated into the classroom. We offer opportunities to earn 5 CEUs at our North or South TCWs, or 2 CEUs at our Metro TCW.
Participants receive Project Learning Tree training as well as multiple books, activity packets, and other resources to take back to their classrooms. Registration is available on the Mississippi Forestry Association website as well as on our brochure.
We are typically able to get every participant sponsored – we never want the price to deter someone from joining us.
Those interested in a sponsorship need to contact Emma Winterhalter at firstname.lastname@example.org. Registration closes two weeks prior to each workshop.
