Swiftonomics: The Economic Influence of Taylor Swift offered to 9-12 teachers

The Foundation for Economic Education has created a workbook that explains 30 economic concepts using examples from Taylor Swift’s career. Whether you’re covering marginal analysis, game theory, or inflation, there’s a lesson plan for your class.

The Swifties may show up to class sleepy from a late-night listening session and gushing over the new songs. Wake them up with an economics lesson to explain what they’re really wondering about. Not, “Will Travis Kelce give her a ring?” but “How will her new album affect demand for record players and friendship bracelets?” and “What can seeing Taylor Swift in Singapore teach me about the exchange rate?”
