Students in grades 8-11 can apply for FEMA’s Youth Preparedness Council

Mississippi students in grades 8-11 can apply for FEMA’s Youth Preparedness Council (YPC). The online application is open through 11:59 p.m. on March 6.

Principals, guidance counselors, teachers, and other staff are encouraged to share the flyer with eligible students.

Youth interested in applying to the council must submit a completed application form and provide two letters of recommendation and parent or guardian consent. Their written or video responses will be accepted at https://community.fema.gov/applytoYPC.
