SPED-itorial Behavior Chat on Feb. 8 focuses on teachers’ roles addressing behavior, the manifestation determination review process

The Mississippi Department of Education, through the Office of Special Education, is offering the SPED-itorial: Teachers’ Roles Addressing Behavior and the Manifestation Determination Review Process special education/behavior chat for the month of February set for 3:30-4:30 p.m. Feb. 8.

This session will focus on identifying the teacher’s role in the manifestation determination review process while debunking myths and chatting about your experience in the MDR process. Participants are encouraged to be prepared to share their process for preparing for these types of meetings.

The session will be facilitated by Dr. Sarieta Pollard, Special Education Professional Development Coordinator. Featured guests will be teachers from across the state, new and novice, who will share their best and brightest ideas.
