School-safety grant on human trafficking youth prevention recently added

A new school safety-related grant on human trafficking youth prevention has recently been added to the Grants Finder Tool on SchoolSafety.gov.

The goal of the Human Trafficking Youth Prevention Education Demonstration Program is to fund local educational agencies to develop and implement programs to prevent human trafficking victimization through the provision of skills-based human trafficking training and education for school staff and students as specified in the Frederick Douglass Trafficking Victims Prevention and Protection Reauthorization Act of 2018.

Additionally, SchoolSafety.gov recently launched a new Child Exploitation topic page which offers resources and guidance related to this critical school safety issue. The new page features information from government agencies as well as non-profit organizations, and outlines ways members of the K-12 school community can help identify, prevent, and respond to the victimization of students.
