Revised Standards for Professional Learning training sessions begin Oct. 17

The newly revised National Standards for Professional Learning are live and offer educators the latest knowledge and insights to design, implement, and sustain high-quality professional learning.  These standards are the basis for the district’s annual professional development plan as required by 2022 Mississippi Public Schools Accountability Standards, standard 15.

The Mississippi Department of Education, in partnership with the local Regional Education Service Agencies (RESAs) aim to help local school districts in understanding these new standards by hosting a free two-day training on the 11 new standards and how they will yield equitable outcomes for teaching and learning.  The purpose of this training is to provide each district with a comprehensive overview of the new standards that are a crucial part of the accreditation process.
