Registration is now open for the Master Teacher of Career Readiness (MTCR) program with the Mississippi Council on Economic Education.
MTCR was created for 7th -12th grade teachers of students with significant cognitive disabilities who are seeking an alternate diploma. The program provides special education teachers with the resources necessary to help their students succeed in career opportunities beyond high school.
This course is offered fully online from Nov. 9, 2023 to Feb. 14, 2024, and is self-paced. Teachers who successfully complete the program are given 4 CEUs and a $250 stipend. There is no cost for teachers to participate.
The registration deadline is Oct. 30 and spaces are limited.
