Registration open for SREB Ready and Essentials for College Courses Summer Trainings

The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) Office of Secondary Education, in partnership with the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB), will host teacher trainings for the SREB Ready and Essentials for College courses this July.

These virtual trainings will be provided at no-cost to public school teachers in Mississippi and are required for those teachers who will be teaching an SREB Ready or an Essentials for College course in ELA/Literacy or Math for the first time during the 2025-26 school year.

To allow for various scheduling constraints, two three-day sessions are available to choose from. Each subject-area session will accommodate 60 participants total.

Teachers must:

  • Have NOT attended the training in previous years
  • Currently have a 119 license endorsement to participate in the ELA/Literacy session or a 154 license endorsement for Math. CEUs are available.
  • Only sign up for ONE of the sessions with the attached link.
