The Mississippi Literacy Association, in partnership with the Mississippi Department of Education’s Office of Curriculum and Instruction, Division of Literacy, will host the 54th Annual Mississippi Literacy Association Conference: Making a Splash with Literacy. This event is ideal for classroom teachers, academic coaches, and instructional leaders who are committed to enhancing literacy instruction across Mississippi.
Conference Dates: Dec. 3–5, 2025
Location: Beau Rivage Resort, Biloxi, Mississippi
This year’s conference will focus on strengthening K–8 literacy instruction, with sessions highlighting strategies to improve literacy and learning outcomes for all students. Topics include:
- Early Literacy (Grades K–3)
- Adolescent Literacy (Grades 4–8)
- English Learner Support
- Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
- Classroom Management Strategies
- Special Education
