Register from Sept. 15-22 for free online Canvas courses

The Mississippi Department of Education, through the Office of Professional Development, is announcing open registration for spring online canvas courses. These courses are offered free of charge to help support educators as they strive to improve student achievement. Course dates, descriptions, and credentialing information can be found in the Fall 2025 Online Professional Development Catalog located on the OPD website.

Seats are still available for the following courses:

  • Bridging the Gap: Education and Poverty in Mississippi
  • Building Brain Power for All Learners
  • Exploring IDEA: Understanding the 13 Disability Categories
  • Journey through IDEA: A Practical Guide for Educators
  • Book Study: Teach Like a Pirate
  • Teaching with Intention: ADHD Strategies for Classroom Success
  • Understanding Autism in the Inclusive Classroom
  • Book Study: The Ultimate Classroom Management Toolkit: Strategies, Templates, and Solutions for K-12 Success

 CEUs are available upon successful completion for a processing fee. SEMI and OSL credits are free of charge for courses as indicated in the catalog.

Registration: Sept. 15-22. Registration will close at noon. You can register on the MDE PD calendar found on Trumba.
