The Mississippi Department of Education’s Division of Literacy announces that registration is now open for the in-person Regional Coaching Series: The Coaching Cycle in Action and Coaching Through Resistance. This two-part professional learning series is designed for school and district-based coaches, lead teachers, district staff, and school or district administrators. The series will build participants’ expertise in the following areas:
Part 1 – The Coaching Cycle in Action (Fall)
This session focuses on the essential role of the literacy coach, highlights key characteristics of effective coaching, and walks participants through each phase of the coaching cycle using real-world examples.
Part 2 – Coaching Through Resistance (Spring)
This session equips educational leaders with strategies to recognize and address resistance to change. Participants will explore underlying causes of resistance and learn empathetic, practical approaches to building trust and supporting sustainable improvement.
If you register for fall, you are automatically registered for spring. If you didn’t register for fall, you can still register for spring.
