REACH MS is excited to offer at no-cost our Universal Design for Learning: Introduction to Guiding Principles training in two formats: self-paced ONLINE during the month of August or IN-PERSON on August 18th and 19th in Pearl. For questions about this training, email us at reachms@usm.edu.
This training will provide an overview of Universal Design for Learning and will focus on an introduction to the three principles of the UDL Guidelines: Engagement, Representation, and Action & Expression. Subtopics will include the cognitive neuroscience and behavior theory that support UDL, how to read the UDL Guidelines, alignment of UDL Guidelines to the Teacher Growth Rubric, and creation of UDL Action Plans for use in the classroom for each of the 3 UDL Principles.
IN-PERSON Training:

This two-day, no-cost, training will provide participants with the opportunity to create UDL Action Plans for use in the classroom based on each of the 3 UDL Principles.

ONLINE Training:
REACH MS Universal Design for Learning: Introduction to Guiding Principles
The online, no cost, four-module training will be a self-paced training utilizing recordings and activities and will be offered via Canvas – our NEW virtual professional development format!
The training opens on Monday, August 2, and closes on Monday, August 30, 2021. Participants must register and begin at least 1 module by Monday, August 16, 2021. Participants who have not completed the first module by this date may be removed from the training. Participants are expected to complete 3 modules by August 23, 2021, to complete the training by the end date.
Registration closes on August 9, 2021.
CEUs (0.6) and SEMIs (5) have been approved.
