REACH MS offers Universal Design for Learning: Introduction to Guiding Principles Training Feb. 14-March 21

REACH MS is offering a virtual professional development that is free, online and self-paced called Universal Design for Learning: Introduction to Guiding Principles Training. Training is set for Feb. 14-March 21. Registration closes Feb. 28.

This four-module training will provide an overview of Universal Design for Learning and will focus on an introduction to the three principles of the UDL Guidelines: engagement, representation, and action and expression. Subtopics will include the cognitive neuroscience and behavior theory that support UDL, how to read the UDL Guidelines, alignment of UDL Guidelines with the Teacher Growth Rubric, and creation of UDL Action Plans for use in the classroom for each of the 3 UDL Principles.

The online, no cost, four-module training will be self-paced and will utilize recordings and activities via Canvas.

The training opens on Monday, Feb. 14, and closes on Monday, March 21, 2022. Participants must register and begin at least one module by Wednesday, March 1. Participants who have not completed the first module by this date may be removed from the training.
