REACH MS is excited to offer Social Emotional Programming in Early Childhood – our first early childhood training presented in a virtual professional development format. This 6 module online training will provide participants the opportunity to begin implementing social emotional programming in early care and education centers and primary school grade levels. Topics discussed include an overview of social emotional learning, an in depth look at the skills under the social emotional umbrella, best practices on explicit teaching of social emotional skills with examples, the neuroscience behind self-regulation, strategies to use to manage emotions, and lastly, an administrator or program-lead’s module with a 7-step process for program- or school-wide implementation. This training is approved for 0.7 CEUs, 5 SEMIs, and 7 contact hours.
Once you have registered for the training, you will receive a confirmation e-mail that will include the information you’ll need to move forward in the process. This is a self-paced training via recordings and activities. No live participation is required. This training closes on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 8:00 PM CDT.
