Mississippi Department Education announces the launch the AI for Instruction Pilot, a free program designed to help teachers use generative AI tools to enhance classroom instruction. Applications are due Sept. 19.
This pilot will help educators use Google’s Gemini and NotebookLM to plan and personalize lessons, design engaging learning activities, and create effective assessments for students. It will focus on three content areas and grade levels: 4th-grade science, middle school English Language Arts, and U.S. History. Selected teachers will participate in professional development on AI integration and practical classroom applications, along with ongoing monthly support to help them continue improving their skills.

Pilot districts will be announced Sept. 29.
