REMINDER: The Mississippi Department of Education is accepting applications for the U. S. Presidential Scholars Program (USPSP) through Friday, Oct. 11. This program is open to graduating seniors in the Class of 2025.
The USPSP was established in 1964 by Executive Order of the President to recognize distinguished high school seniors for their accomplishments in academics, the arts, and career and technical education fields.
This year, Dr. Lance Evans, State Superintendent of Education, will nominate up to 20 students (10 males and 10 females) for the general component of the program and up to five students for the CTE component.
Applications may be found at the link below and mailed to the Mississippi Department of Education, c/o USPSP Committee, Office of Secondary Education, P.O. Box 771, Jackson, MS 39205. Applications must be received by Friday, October 11, 2024.
Students who are selected and nominated by Dr. Evans to the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program will receive additional information via postal mail OR email directly from the USPSP national office in January 2025.
