Museum plans Arbor Day Celebration for Feb. 10

MDWFP’s Mississippi Museum of Natural Science’s Mississippi Arbor Day Celebration – STEM, Leaves & Tress will be held 9 a.m. to noon Friday Feb. 10.

The event is designed to offer an exciting day of learning all about Mississippi trees and their importance.

Attendees can enjoy STEM activities such as Leaf ID, log dissection, guided tree hikes, wood magic, and more.

Special interactive themed exhibits include a soil tunnel and wood in art.

Guest can also tour the museum’s permanent exhibits, hike the trails and explore the new LeFleur’s Bluff playground.

ADMISSION:

Admission is included with museum admission or MMNS Foundation Membership. Museum admission is: Adults $8, Youth (3-18) $6, Children under the age of 3 are free, Senior Citizens (60+) $7.

School groups (i.e. more than 10 students) can qualify for a group rate.
