MSMS announces three summer residential camps in June for rising 7th-10th grade students

The Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science (MSMS) announces three summer residential camps happening in June for rising 7th – 10th grade students.

MSMS hosts two camps every summer designed to challenge gifted middle school and early high school students. These Summer Enrichment Camps provide an opportunity for academic inquiry and exploration through a variety of specialized STEM+ mini-courses while residing on the MSMS campus. Guidelines will be put in place to ensure everyone’s health and safety during this camp experience.

Registration deadline is March 31 for the following Summer Enrichment Camps:

  • The Middle School Summer Enrichment Camp will be held June 6-11, 2021.*Rising 7th and 8th graders are eligible to attend.
  • The High School Summer Enrichment Camp will be held June 13-18, 2021. *Rising 9th and 10th graders are eligible to attend.

Registration deadline is April 15 for the African American Youth of Mississippi Excelling (AAYME) Camp.

AAYME Camp, set for June 19-24, is a personal and academic enrichment program for rising 8th, 9th, and 10th graders. The mission of AAYME is to enhance the future of Mississippi by helping African-American students achieve their full potential through personal, social, professional, and leadership development.

The 2022 camp is sponsored by MSMS alumni and partners who are raising scholarship funds to cover camp tuition, room, and board (a $675 value) for selected campers.
