MS Votes announces the return of its Summer Youth Policy Institute (SYPI) set for Sunday, July 12 through Saturday, July 18 at Millsaps College.
The core purpose of this program is to bring together young leaders from across the state for an immersive weeklong experience. Students chosen for SYPI will participate in a variety of powerful and engaging activities. The experience is designed to be hands-on and deeply informative.
Highlights include:
● A Mock Legislative Session to understand the policymaking process.
● Museum visits that highlight the key Catalysts in the Civil Rights Movement.
● A tour of Tougaloo College where we’ll explore the necessity of strategic partnerships in
political movements.
● A dedicated Night of Political Networking.
● A relaxing Student Social.
