Mississippi Professional School Counselor Advisory Council applications due June 3

The Mississippi Department of Education Office of PreK-12 Professional School Counseling is now accepting applications for the Mississippi Professional School Counselor Advisory Council (MPSCAC) for the 2022-23 school year. Deadline to apply is June 3. 

The purpose of the MPSCAC is to provide feedback to the director of Counseling and allow discussion from the field about critical topics that will lead to the improvement of Mississippi school counseling programs. The goal of the council is to strengthen the professional identity, increase student outcomes, advocacy for students and the profession, and ensure student access to a comprehensive school counseling program in all schools.

Candidates must complete the online application here and send a recommendation letter from a current principal, superintendent, or supervisor who can speak to your abilities and potential to contribute by Friday, June 3 to cfort@mdek12.org.
